"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens
can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has."
                                                                                   -Margaret Mead

From time to time, everyone needs a helping hand.

All of us also have something we  can give whether it be time, talent, or a couple of dollars. CCSEC encourages it's staff members as well as members of our community to
reach out to those around us who need that helping hand.

Listed below are several organizations that offer volunteering opportunities in our area. Each organization offers a variety of ways you can make an impact in our community:

Special Olympics of Greater Dallas - The mission of Special Olympics Texas is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities [mental retardation], giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in the sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.

The Volunteer McKinney Center - Volunteer McKinney Center pledges to continue to provide
quality services for the citizens of McKinney and surrounding communities. Our programs will
continue to educate potential volunteers about available opportunities to serve and will enhance the
ability of agencies and organizations to serve their clients. We are committed to connect people who
can help with people who need help.
